First we listen and take the time to understand your hearing difficulties.
We will take you through a thorough examination to test your hearing and assess what will be the most suitable solution for your hearing loss, budget and lifestyle.
The process will take approximately 90 minutes.
Examination
Your ears will be examined for wax, infections or any other abnormalities using a video Auroscope (a high definition camera).
Advice can then be given to relieve ear wax, tinnitus or hearing loss.
Testing
Once we have established that your ears are clear of wax we will conduct a Pure Tone Audiogram (Hearing Test).
During this procedure you will wear a pair of headphones and be asked to press a simple button whenever you hear a sound.
Steven then proceeds to more in-depth testing where he will carry out Speech, Speech in Noise and Middle Ear Function tests to establish the specific problems within the Audiological system.
Treatment Plan
Following your assessment, we will then explain our findings in great detail and make recommendations.
If necessary, we may recommend that you be referred to an Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Consultant.
For tinnitus therapy and management or for a suitable hearing aids to suit your lifestyle and budget.
