Where to donate hearing aids

In these days of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle it is a very considerate act to donate your old hearing aids for these three reasons:

Reduce – you are reducing waste and the effects of waste on the environment

Reuse – you are providing a much-needed medical aid which will be much appreciated by others

Recycle – The fact that your old hearing aid will go to others is the perfect way to recycle.

It is easy to donate your hearing aids. Here are some ways we recommend:

The Starkey Foundation:

Feel free to send directly to Starkey, or send to us and we will happily donate them on your behalf.

Lions club – They have a hearing aid recycling scheme and provide affordable hearing aids for hard-of-hearing individuals who have limited resources. They partner with participating hearing care professionals who refurbish donated hearing aids to fit the needs of the recipient.

Sound Seekers – who are an international registered charity that helps deaf and hard of hearing people in the poorest places in the world. Their work helps to improve the lives of thousands of deaf people. They also refurbish used hearing aids and distribute them to those in need through partnership projects.

Hospital audiology departments will also accept old hearing aids for recycling.

Remember that Hearing aids are not collected at household waste and recycling centres.
