A crazy thing happened a couple of years ago – we decided we should expand! Thus began the mission to find the perfect site for an Audiology clinic, which is actually not as simple as it sounds! So, imagine our delight when we uncovered a disused bank in Shenstone! The building and it’s history inspired us, and we immediately began to visualise our clients in the environment, and so our journey began.
Plans were submitted, approval received, and builders engaged, which meant that work began to completely convert the site of the old bank chambers in Shenstone in April 2024 into a brand new, prestigious Audiology Clinic.
We had a vision to design the large downstairs space to accommodate a warm and inviting reception area, and 3 audiology rooms for hearing and tinnitus consultancy as well as ear wax removal in lichfield.
The original bank vault lent itself to be ideal as a soundproof room and we decided to keep the steel bars and original vaulted door to honour the history of the old bank building – it’s the best hearing test room we’ve ever seen!
We took extra time with all the details that matter for the health and comfort of our clients, such as space, comfort, lighting, soundproofing and clinically sanitised too.
We have included many of our own design ideas within the build of the clinic to make this a truly awesome and unique audiology experience. But rather than spill the beans here – why not book an appointment and find out for yourself, and see if you spot any of these quirky touches?!
From an audiological perspective, this new site fully benefits from being brand new, bespoke, airy and top of the range. When the team here at Steven Hale Hearing first started to moot ideas, dreams and concepts for the conversion, we had many lengthy discussions, some heated and some humorous, but at the heart of all our aims was you, our customers, and the service that you expect and we also demand from ourselves.
As we hope you will see following our opening event, the finished product offers dedicated rooms in which our experts can totally commit to their areas of specialism in a modern, unhurried and enchanting environment, all of which add to the quality of service we have always been proud to provide to our clients.
Externally, we are excited to reveal that the clinic has parking in front of the building, and a disability friendly comfort room for our client’s convenience.
Hopefully we will see you at our opening event when we will be able to walk you through our new clinic, which, we believe, is much more than ‘just a clinic’. Come and see….
