What hearing aids are best for tinnitus?

There are various hearing aids available that can help tinnitus but we believe that, rather than writing a list here, a good counselling session with your audiologist will lead to the best treatment for your tinnitus.

We have counselled a great deal of patients with tinnitus and they have many differing symptoms some which have causes – such as a build-up of earwax or, in some cases, where the tinnitus is the first sign of hearing loss for which hearing aids can bring great relief.

Stress has been shown to aggravate tinnitus which can become a vicious cycle.

We have treated some case of tinnitus with stress and anxiety management tools to help to soothe and treat tinnitus.

There are also various therapies available such as sound therapy and tinnitus masking where external noises are brought in to help mask the tinnitus.

We have also used tinnitus management programs which help to teach the brain to be less aware of tinnitus sounds and focus more on the environment around them.

There are also tinnitus relief apps available for people who wear or don’t wear hearing aids.

If you suffer from tinnitus the best advice we can give is to book a appointment and come and talk to Steven Hale.

His experience of treating tinnitus is extremely vast and you will leave the appointment feeling relieved, comforted and optimistic.
